The China/USA "10+10" Workshop, organized by Chemistry & Biochemistry at University of California, San Diego (UCSD), was held at UCSD, San Diego, California on January 16 and 17, 2020. The workshop followed a decade-long tradition of international exchange within the 10 + 10 Alliance Program. The 2020 workshop was the tenth in the series of meetings between faculty and students highlighting new directions in chemical sciences. The conferences have been highly successful at building international networks as well as fostering collaborative projects and research initiatives. We expect that the workshop featured 24 scientists from the U.S. and China with research interests covering broadly defined fields and speakers from Physical Chemisty, Biochemistry, Atmospheric Science, Chemical Biology and Material Chemistry.
